SAFETY DEVICES Underpan sensor (optional) : Located under the vertical platform lift, it prevents descent if something obstructs it. Flap sensitive switches (optional) : Located under the vertical platform lift, will prevent movement of the vertical platform lift if something obstructs it. Arm position switches (optional) : Located at the inside ends of the arms, will stop the stairway lift if the arms are in an intermediate position (another position than horizontal vertical) Seat position switch (optional) : Located under the seat, will ensure that powered lift will not fold when the seat is down.
