A real bang! Storms pummel region Mother Nature served up some fireworks of her own this week as powerful winds did another number on trees and left many county residents without power. Sumner County Emergency Management officials were keeping a close eye on the Ninnescah River this morning due to a release of water at the Cheney Reservoir. "We may have some nervous folks, but I think the river will crest and everything will be O.K.," said James Fair, Sumner County Emergency Management director. Residents in Sumner County continued to cleanup today as downed trees littered the area. Wellington city officials are beginning an investigation into what caused the veneer facade of a downtown building to collapse Monday morning. Wellington police reported that stone from the exterior of the Glasco building at the corner of Harvey and Washington
