Cabinet stresses food, drug supervision 30/6/2005 8:29 The State Council, China's Cabinet, yesterday stressed the importance of strengthening supervision over food and drugs and improving the country's industrial production permit system. At an executive meeting presided over by Premier Wen Jiabao, the participants reached a consensus that food and drug safety is a crucial part of public security and is directly related to the people's health and life; supervision over food and drugs is a major responsibility of the government.
